SUN RISE, SUN DOWN, AND DAY LENGTH

As an aside, now the sun down is getting so much earlier each day, here is an analysis I did back in 2002.

I was wondering how sun rise and sun down times varied over the year, and what effect that had on day length.

Each of the three lines resemble a sine wave, which means:
  • Sun rise and sun down change little for four weeks either side of longest and shortest days
  • In between, all three change fast, with the fastest around mid March and mid September
